Our reading series is skill based. Therefore, I will not always require students to bring their reading book home to complete the "reading homework" for each evening. Students may read books of their choice (on an appropriate level) and then discuss the weekly skills in reference to what they have read. I will also send home leveled readers & reading logs that need to be returned the following school day.
Math/History/ Science homework is subject to change. Students are given class time each day to work on assignments and ask questions. If your child is bringing home fully incomplete assignments, they are not using class time wisely.
We also have a class Facebook page! Please "like" our page.

Agendas
How to use the student Agenda Planner:
1. Students must have their agenda with them in class daily.
2. Students should write their daily assignments in their agenda.
3. Students are responsible for having an adult check & SIGN their agenda each evening. This fosters communication between the parent and teacher but also includes the student as an active participant.
4. Teachers will be checking student agendas periodically.
5. Parents are able to send notes, comments, & questions in the agenda.
6. Each student is provided with an agenda on the first day of school. If it is lost, please notify the teacher.
The use of the student agenda planner is essential. Strong organizational skills increase student success!
